I've suffered from eczema every since I was born. Backs of my legs, creases of my arms and more recently, all over my face. When the rash started to flare on my face and began presenting itself on my neck and shoulders I lost the plot. Immunology appointments, dermatology appointments, naturopathy, you name it, i was trying it. To this day, we are not sure why it was so bad but I have my inklings.
During the researching period, I read several articles about food consumption and skin conditions. It made sense. What you consume affects your skin (as well as a million, trillion other things.) I parted with wheat, tried to lessen my dairy consumption and consequently gradually started to feel better. While my rash only disappeared slightly during this time, my overall health improved dramatically. No longer was I the one who contracted every cold or gastro bug. I felt well.
However, I'm not going to say I didn't miss a few things. One day, whilst in despair over the lack of muffins in my life, I found 12health. 12 Health offer baking mixes to those who are sensitive to wheat, dairy and other nasty additives. (And holy mother! They do Chai muffins!) Many of their mixes are gluten free, with the option of also being vegan. I was lucky enough to bake several of their products the other day and I can say - they were delish. Thank. God.
So i invite you to give them a go. The mixes require very little addition. I promise they are fool proof. Head to www.12health.com.au to find out more.
Stay well, and happy Monday x
