My, what a truly wonderful day it was. Tessa and Josh were married at Al Ru Farm on January third. It was one of those days where everything effortlessly flowed from one part to the next. And filled with such a beautiful bunch of people. Honestly, Tessa & Josh I felt like I had known you for years. It was such a spectacular and emotional day. I hope these photographs help you to remember & treasure this day for many happy years to come.
Penelope & Luke were married at St Andrews Church here in Walkerville, Adelaide, followed by a backyard reception party. There's something so wonderful about backyard receptions; it's intimate yet everyone was completely down for the dance floor. The combination of a beautiful set up, incredible music and a delicious "food truck" style dinner made for a very relaxing but memorable experience. Penny & Luke, thank you for inviting me to be part of your super incredible day. I wish you all the love in the World.

"After all, we are all stories in the end."
I sat at Penelope & Luke's wedding last night, absorbed by the speech that Luke gave. He spoke at length about Penelope's personality, what she loved, what she wanted out of life and what she had now. He mused about their future together, what they will achieve and where they will go. When he pictured themselves fifty years from now, he said he only thought of one thing: the two of them, walking together, down by the beach, remembering what a full and love-filled life they had shared.
I loved that. I truly, really loved that. Such simplicity. In fifty years time, I want them to look back on this frame and remember how they were last night. The tenderness, the truth of their love. I want them to look back with joy and remember this small moment that captured them and the beginning of their story.
Before you ask: where are photographs of the ceremony, let me just tell you straight up that this is a styled shoot and not a real wedding. All the creative heads that came together to create this, however, are very much real & very wonderful. If you are getting married here in Adelaide, I would not go past these beautiful people who all have a tremendous passion for what they do.

I took November off shooting (real) weddings for a number of reasons, but mainly to have a break and also to allow myself time to properly study for my law exams. During this time I also set aside some time to be creative, to shoot for myself and produce work just because I felt like doing it. I completely adore my job which allows my creativity to run wild, but there's something so wonderful about working on an idea you want and executing it the way you desire. Simply for the love of doing it.
All my thanks again to the fabulous vendors who worked with me to produce this product. Especially Anastasia & Caroline from Elly & Elm Events who carefully picked everything for this while I jetted to Paris and back in the planning time. And to our beautiful models, Brooke & Ben. Thank you, so very, very much.

Much love & happy weekend!
