When I traveled up to the Sunshine Coast for D&M's vow renewal last month, I was also able to squeeze in a family session with the Look Family. Let me just come out and say it: you Queensland photographers are so spoilt with your locations and your light. My goodness. I love my beach shoots here in Adelaide, but the light that we were graced with on this Tuesday afternoon was heavenly. So soft and so pretty. This family of four beautiful people also helps. And the flower crowns made by Candice, their Mumma. A perfect concoction.
These sweet souls came all the way from Canada and were such fun to be around. Though Adelaide had been experiencing some pretty horrific weather, we were so lucky to have a beautiful evening last Wednesday. You know those couple of minutes just after the sun sets on a clear day? Those are priceless, those are better than gold.
"There is you, and there is me. But together, there is us. And that's the best part of me."
I had the best time with these three at one of my very favourite parks in here in Adelaide. Lily is the sweetest, with such a big personality and the most doting parents. I felt lucky to just be able to capture what they don't get to see.
"Speak of your joy, often."
This little family gave me such a beautiful session. There was absolutely no need to pose them, because play and interaction was enough. In fact, it really is always enough. How they are with each other speaks louder than anything I could "ask" them to do.
Oh beautiful Ted. We braved the drizzle and cold winds for these pretty portraits. Well worth the wet feet and sand leaving my shoes even two weeks later. Plus, those wet weather skies? Best.
