This beautiful wedding could not have been more perfect in my eyes. It was split over two days; the first day featuring the wedding ceremony followed by a sit down meal and the second day, more of a party with a paella, live music and pretty spectacular balloon release. Angelique & Jonathon asked that their guests write messages of love on white balloons. At sunset, they released over fifty balloons into the sky and it was the greatest thing ever. I truly love when couples put personal spins on their wedding days, and this was one of my favourites yet.
Solomon from 'Fragment Films' shot their wedding wedding, and you can view that here. It's pretty beautiful. If you're trying to find a videographer for your wedding, I suggest you give Solomon a squiz. Or if you're like me and just like to cry over other people's wedding videos.
Happy Wednesday X
"After all, we are all stories in the end."
I sat at Penelope & Luke's wedding last night, absorbed by the speech that Luke gave. He spoke at length about Penelope's personality, what she loved, what she wanted out of life and what she had now. He mused about their future together, what they will achieve and where they will go. When he pictured themselves fifty years from now, he said he only thought of one thing: the two of them, walking together, down by the beach, remembering what a full and love-filled life they had shared.
I loved that. I truly, really loved that. Such simplicity. In fifty years time, I want them to look back on this frame and remember how they were last night. The tenderness, the truth of their love. I want them to look back with joy and remember this small moment that captured them and the beginning of their story.
"I knew right away that you were it for me. There were no reservations, or second thoughts. I saw you and in an instant knew in my bones, that my soul had known your soul lifetimes ago."
- Beau Taplin
Carla and Dale were married at the Rose Garden in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens followed by a beautiful, low key, non-traditional 'party' at the Lion Hotel. The day was focused on celebration and I loved it. The photographs of the two of them during their first dance? I die. They are the sweetest. Weddings are obviously filled with goose-bump worthy moments, but there's something about the first dance that is always so romantic.
Much love X
