Your newborn session should take place when your baby is under fourteen days old in order to achieve the results consistent with what you will see in my portfolio. As a result, your newborn photography session should be booked while you are still pregnant to avoid disappointment.

My home studio is a warm, natural light filled space located in Glen Osmond, 10 minutes East of the Adelaide CBD. There is a comfortable area to feed, and change. All blankets and wraps are provided for, with most being gender neutral. This is because my style is clean, natural and very much focused on your baby rather than props and accessories. Flash photography is never used.

How long does the session last?

Your newborn session will run anywhere between 2-3 hours, dependent on how settled your baby is. I never rush newborn sessions an would rather allocate the maximum amount of time to ensure we achieve beautiful photographs.

Can siblings and parents be photographed?

Absolutely. In fact, often photographs including parents and/or siblings become my favourites. There is no additional charge for this, I simply ask that siblings are photographed first so they are free to leave the studio with a parent or other family member. Allowing us the space to finish the session focused on your newborn alone.

Are we able to just buy a USB of the images?

Yes. Digital photographs are available a la carte or can be purchased in a collection. Collections include credit towards product plus digital photographs on a USB.

How does payment work?

You will be required to pay your session fee of $175 at the time of booking. This covers your time in the studio, as well as the editing of your photographs. All products such as prints, frames, albums and digital photographs are purchased after viewing your gallery. All prices for products will be sent to you upon enquiry.

Most of my family portraiture sessions will take place at a park or beach setting in the first hour of sunlight or last hour before sunset as this will ensure we have the best light possible. Sessions are booked up to three months in advance.

Upon booking your session, you will receive a detailed information and styling pack guiding you towards the best clothing choices. The focus of your session will rest on connection & interaction between your family rather than posed photography.

What do we wear?

Prior to your shoot, you will be provided with a detailed information pack that includes information on what to wear. It also provides visual inspiration on how to co-ordinate outfits as a family unit.

Where will the shoot take place?

Somewhere outdoors, most likely the first hour of light, or last hour of light (sunrise or sunset). Typically I love to use a beach less populated such as the quiet end of Grange or a beautiful overgrown park/field area in the Mitcham/Springfield area.
